Atlanta is a city that rewards exploration. Whether you are new to the area or have lived here for years, there is always something new to discover. Here are some of my favorite things to do in and around the city.
Outdoor Spaces
Piedmont Park is Atlanta's central gathering place, with walking trails, a lake, and views of the Midtown skyline. The BeltLine connects neighborhoods with a multi-use trail perfect for walking, running, or biking. Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area offers kayaking, fishing, and hiking just minutes from Sandy Springs.
Dining and Food Culture
Atlanta's food scene is incredible. From award-winning fine dining to hole-in-the-wall gems, the city has it all. Buckhead is home to some of the finest restaurants in the Southeast. Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market offer curated food halls with local flavors.
Arts and Culture
The High Museum of Art is a world-class institution. The Fox Theatre hosts Broadway shows and concerts in a stunning historic setting. Atlanta BeltLine art installations bring creativity to the streets. The Center for Civil and Human Rights is a moving and important experience.
Sports and Entertainment
Atlanta is a major sports city with the Falcons (NFL), Hawks (NBA), Atlanta United (MLS), and Braves (MLB). The Battery Atlanta near Truist Park offers dining and entertainment before and after games.
Shopping
From the luxury retailers at Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square to the boutiques of Virginia-Highland and Inman Park, Atlanta offers shopping for every taste and budget.
Living Here
What I love most about Atlanta is that it truly has something for everyone. It is a city of neighborhoods, each with its own character and charm. If you are thinking about making Atlanta home, I would love to help you find the right neighborhood for your lifestyle.
